What if I exceed my 10,000 base resources?
You pay for additional resources using pack rates with volume discounts. All tiers include 10,000 base resources, then you add capacity as needed. We notify you proactively if you're approaching your contracted limit.
Can I have high usage but basic features?
Yes! That's exactly why we separated platform tiers from resource volume. You can select any tier (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise) and independently scale your resource count. Choose your tier based on features you need, not how many resources you manage.
What counts as a "resource"?
Every Terraform or OpenTofu resource tracked in the Stategraph database. Count your current terraform state list output across all states—that's your starting resource count.
What about Private Cloud?
Stategraph is self-hosted by default—you run it in your own infrastructure. Professional and Enterprise tiers can optionally be deployed as Stategraph Private Cloud, a dedicated single-tenant deployment operated by our engineering team. Private Cloud pricing is separate from your platform tier.
How does billing work?
Annual contracts with monthly or quarterly billing options. Stategraph phones home daily with resource counts. At month-end, we calculate usage and invoice for any overages beyond your contracted tier.
Can I get custom resource limits between tiers?
Yes. Most infrastructure doesn't fit exact tier boundaries. We structure contracts based on your actual resource count and growth projections. Talk to sales for custom contracts.
